Meet The New Executive Chef Jeff Kaplan at The King & Prince Beach Resort
The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is pleased to announce a fantastic new addition to it’s incredible staff at their highly popular, Kings Tavern.
Just imagine… While sitting only steps away from the Atlantic Ocean and soaking in all the breathtaking view, you can now enjoy the tantalizing creations of the Kings Tavern new Executive Chef, Jeff Kaplan.
Jeff chose his career path the minute he fell in love with the hospitality industry. Combining the ability to nurture a person’s senses with his delectable creations, and finding himself a true aficionado of natural foods and all that nature provides, there was certainly only one career for Jeff to embark upon. Between the catering company his family owns, and spending his childhood growing up at the deli that his best friend’s family owned, Jeff was clearly – at a very early age – destined for culinary greatness.
Over his twenty-five year journey, Chef Jeff has gifted the population with his unforgettable meals at locations, such as: The White Elephant Resort located in Nantucket; The Inn At Great Neck, which is a Long Island ‘boutique’ hotel; Corporate Catering in the Financial District; Table Tales, located in New York; and, most recently, at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. While there, he was also involved in “The Players Championship” for nine years.
Jeff greatly enjoys the opportunities that the hospitality industry has afforded to him which allow him to be very active in the community. His endeavors have included, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, Caring Chefs, and Cystic Fibrosis Tailgate Kick-off for a Cure!
Although this incredible Chef thoroughly enjoys every aspect of the culinary lifestyle, he feels a strong connection with fresh ‘natural’ foods, and wholly embraces the ‘Farm to Table Movement.’ Happily taking advantage of seasonal, regional and local products, Chef Jeff thrives on immersing himself in the delicacies of the surrounding cultures.
As the Chef states: “It’s all about understanding the ingredients and how to help them achieve their best flavors. Food is very powerful, and is often at the forefront of many of life’s most important events. Therefore, flavors and scents often become intertwined with generations of memories. I am so fortunate to be a part of that. I also feel very fortunate to be a facet of The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort. This establishment encompasses all that I love about the hospitality industry, and does so in an unforgettable setting that truly takes your breath away.”
