Carolina Skiff’s JV CC Models are Durable & Affordable

By Capt. Ted Lund

For many anglers owning bigger boats can create a struggle to get out for a relaxing couple of hours to fish, check crab traps or create a short after work hours adventure for the kids.  Often it takes longer to get the “big” boat ready than it does to enjoy your outing. But it does not have to be this way. Carolina Skiff has the answer with their JV CC models and is perfect for hitting the water for fantastic fishing and fun.

Based on Carolina Skiff’s original design, which helped the company become one of the world’s leading boat manufacturers, the Carolina Skiff 15 and 17 JV CC (center console) make a perfect small fishing boat or even a second boat for owners that have larger boat but need a way to get on the water for short trips or when the backwater bite is hot.

The bottom line is simple. The JV CC series is a great little fishing and runabout boat.  Stable, simple and easy to handle. It’s modified shallow-Vee design helps soften the ride, keep passengers dry and safe.

The Carolina Skiff 15 JV CC has an LOA of 14′ 8,” and its generous 64-inch beam contributes to its stability. The 14″ gunwale height provides boaters with a dry ride, and safety and security when not underway. Tipping the scales at 517 pounds and rated for a 30-hp motor, the 15 CC can make its way into the water as skinny as 3 inches. Rated for up to three people, the 15 JV CC has a maximum gross weight of 870 pounds.
